D55, also known as the Enigma Code by codebreakers, remains a fascinating enigma to this day. This function was to protect German military communications during World War II, and its complexity made it a formidable obstacle for Allied forces. In spite of their complexity, D55 was eventually cracked by brilliant mathematicians and codebreakers.
